Les Sources hotels propose a luxurious, eco-responsible experience at the heart of France’s finest vineyards. It all began in 1999 when Alice and Jérôme Tourbier inaugurated Les Sources de Caudalie in Bordeaux, in the family vineyard of the Château Smith Haut Lafitte. From its opening, the hotel stood out for its sustainable approach, particularly by drilling a well enabling its spa to draw water from a depth of 540 meters. Over the years, this commitment has become deeply rooted in the group’s DNA, giving rise in 2020 to a new address in the Loire Valley vineyards: Les Sources de Cheverny. Following the path taken by the Palace des Vignes, this 5-star hotel shares the same philosophy. Which means shared, concrete actions. For example, water proposed to guests is filtered on-site and poured into re-usable glass bottles, thus reducing the use of plastic. For long stays, linen changing is adapted to optimize water and energy consumption. In the kitchen, the Chefs obtain supplies from local producers and rely on harvests from their vegetable garden based on the permaculture principle. The decor has also adopted a responsible approach, giving preference to items from flea markets or secondhand dealers. This success rests on collective commitment, with our team members made aware and trained all year round. Staying at Les Sources means choosing an experience in which the enjoyment of travel is paired with respect for the environment. It is also proof that sustainable luxury tourism is indeed possible.
