A unique art of living

At Les Sources de Caudalie, rooms in La Maison du Lièvre and La Grange au Bateau have been given a facelift.

After last season’s renovations in the historic buildings of La Bastide des Grands Crus and Le Comptoir des Indes, rooms in La Maison du Lièvre and La Grange au Bateau have now had a makeover.

Architect Delphine Sauvaget focused on two worlds. “Near the lake, La Maison du Lièvre was given a country style with shades of green and light oak furniture. For contrast and relief, I also gave priority to fabrics in natural or mineral tones. The maritime origin of La Grange au Bateau is now restored with varnished mahogany furniture with smoother lines, softer corners, as for a boat. Curves are important features in these rooms.

In Le Palace des Vignes, each room is unique. In fact, diversity is vital for both the architect and Alice Tourbier, co-founder of Les Sources: “Our rooms are showcases opening outside, holding a dialogue with surrounding nature, our real luxury. Each one has its own personality with customized furnishings, decorative items unearthed at fairs, original artworks for even more soul.

Without effacing the property’s traditional character imagined by architect Yves Collet, and by blending vintage finds with artistic creations by Gaultier Rimbault-Joffard, Lia Rochas or Julie Robert, Delphine Sauvaget adds a contemporary touch to Les Sources. One feels comfortable, at home, which is all that counts.
